Anyone can call used dive gear “inspected.” DescendAgain certification is a process with steps you can read about on the Our Process page: an initial inspection to decide whether a piece can be certified at all, a complete service with the right parts, reassembly and testing beyond manufacturer specification, honest cosmetic grading, and the DescendAgain Certified Pre-Owned Warranty & Service Agreement on every sale.
The work is done by DescendAgain dealers — independent dive service centers with certified technicians — and every listing names the gear's condition, serial numbers and what was done to it. That is the difference between certified used dive gear and used dive gear.

What does “certified” mean on DescendAgain?
A certified technician at a DescendAgain dealer has inspected the gear, serviced it with the correct parts, tested it beyond manufacturer specification (regulators on an airflow bench), graded its cosmetic condition honestly, and put the Certified Pre-Owned warranty behind it.
Does used dive gear from DescendAgain come with a warranty?
Yes. Every certified item carries the DescendAgain Certified Pre-Owned Warranty & Service Agreement — six months from the day it ships — honored by the dealer network.
How fast does it ship, and from where?
Orders ship tracked from the DescendAgain dealer that serviced the item, usually within five days, anywhere in the US.
Can I sell or consign my used dive gear?
Yes — use the Sell your gear page. A dealer inspects it, tells you honestly what it is worth, and either buys it outright or lists it for you.
