Our Certified Pre-Owned Procedure
1. Initial Inspection & Intake
Dive Equipment comes into our shop for an initial inspection.
- Descend Again Certified Pre-Owned Phase 1
The Initial inspection allows us to determine if the gear will likely meet the rest of Descend Again’s Certified Pre-Owned standards. If the equipment passes our initial inspection It is listed for sale on our website and other online market places.
2. Purchased
Once a purchase has been made we immediately notify the customer that their equipment is now being sent through our one of a kind state of the arch Diver’s Tech Service facility. We will get back to them with an estimate when they will receive their order within 48 hours. Gear Usually ships within 10 Days of purchase.
3. Teardown & Ultra Sonic Cleaning
After gear has been purchased it goes through a complete teardown and ultrasonic cleaning.

While completely disassembled, every single part is meticulously inspected to ensure absolute integrity of the equipment. Any part that is or may possibly be compromised is replaced. Assuming the customers equipment passes Phase 2 we notify the customer of our anticipated ship date and their equipment moves on to re-assembly and overhaul. (In the unlikely event gear does not pass Phase 2 inspection, a full refund is issued to the buyer.)
4. Re-Assembly
A manufacture’s certified technician re-assembles and performs complete overhaul of equipment to the specific manufactures standards specifications.
- Descend Again Certified Pre-Owned Phase 3
After meeting all manufacturer’s service requirements and tuning specifications, the 3rd Phase of our Certified Pre-Owned Inspection you won’t find at any other service center. All equipment goes through 10 minutes of simulated diving before final testing to ensure all specifications and standards are still met after break in period. Regulators are cycled for 10 minutes of simulated inhale & exhale breathing. Then the flow is tested again for any last fine tuning necessary.
5. Shipped to Customer After complete service and passing all of Descend Again’s Certified Pre-Owned Standards, equipment is tamper evident sealed and shipped to the customer. Service records, warranty info, and tracking is emailed to the customer. We won’t send marketing emails if you don’t want to but we will remind all customers of their upcoming due date for service to ensure your Equipment is always ready to support your underwater adventures!
